Differences When Writing a Personal Vs. a Business Blog

Blogging has become very popular over the last few years. Many are jumping on the blogging bandwagon and are able to earn a good income. If you are interested in getting started, you can set up a personal blog or a business blog. Even though both are similar and very successful in earning you a lot of money, there is a slight difference.

Personal Blog

It all began with personal blogs where people could express themselves freely. A personal blog is very casual in the sense that you do not need proper language and so on. This is your blog and you can personalize it as much as you like.

A personal blog revolves around personal topics of interest. These topics can be anything that is a part of your life, as well as your dreams. These topics can include your vacation, your favorite recipes, your hobbies, your achievements, failures, frustrations and excitements. Your readers are there to get to know you better, and thus it is okay to write about whatever it is that you enjoy in life.

But the great thing about personal blogs is that you can place relevant ads, such as Google Ads, or affiliate ads on your blog and make money by writing about your inner most passions in life.

Business Blogs

Business blogs are similar to personal blogs, only they are more targeted towards a particular topic. Thus if you run a business on computer software, you wouldn't blog about your favorite recipes, and so on.

A business blog basically helps you to keep your customers informed of upcoming events, sales, policy changes, or any other kind of business related news. This is where you can relate to your customers from a business perspective. If you have received questions from your customers, you can answer them publicly on your blog and so on.

Business blogs can also run ads such as Google Adsense or affiliate ads. However, if you are running a blog along side your business website, then you do not want to run ads, as you want to focus on selling your products or services.

The great thing is that both types of blogs are very easy to set up, and they both use the same blogging platforms or software. Therefore you can set up either one of these, and you do not have to have any special knowledge or experience regarding blogging, as you can learn as you go. However, it does help if you have some guidance on how to go about it.

What is PPC Campaign Management & How Does it Work?

Pay-per-click (PPC) advertising involves the purchasing of sponsored links on different search engine results pages. Many SEM agencies employ PPC campaign management to assist their clients in getting more web traffic. PPC involves paying only when someone clicks on your ad, bringing the viewer to your website.

There are many benefits of an SEM agency taking on the responsibility of PPC campaign management:

1. Speed: PPC listings can be launched much quicker than organic SEO methods. Those in charge of PPC campaign management will find that they don't have to wait for search engines' spiders to perform an in-depth analysis of their website.
2. Return on investment: SEM agencies will find that it's easy to employ PPC campaign management, as it can be tracked very easily and extensively. Various data including cost-per-conversion can be reported to those in charge of PPC campaign management efficiently and quickly.
3. Reach: SEM agencies quite often turn to PPC because it helps bring more traffic to their websites. In fact, PPC campaign management is more even more helpful for those companies that have very competitive search phrases.
4. Experimenting: With PPC campaign management, companies can experiment while researching potential search phrases. This way, SEM agencies don't have to worry about optimizing the entire site to test a phrase out—instead, they can turn to PPC campaign management.

So what's the downside of PPC campaign management? The only two drawbacks are longevity and cost. Unfortunately, PPC traffic will only last while you pay for it, unlike website optimization. Furthermore, those PPC keywords or search phrases that are particularly competitive will certainly be more expensive. However, PPC campaign management can be particularly beneficial if you follow the following tips:

* Consult with your SEM agency and begin with a clear keyword strategy. Employ keyword analysis in order to help you make the decision of which keywords to bid for with PPC and which ones to optimize for.
* Experiment! As mentioned above, PPC campaign management is particularly beneficial as it gives you the opportunity to test out various keywords and search phrases.

While many see optimizing websites as the optimal way to bring in more traffic, more and more SEM agencies are beginning to appreciate the benefits of PPC campaign management.

How To Get Targeted Keywords For Use On Google Adwords

Everyone knows the importance of having targeted keywords for their Google
Adwords campaigns, but not everyone knows where to begin - especially beginners. Most beginners simply read an article on how they can make money with Adwords, sign up for an affiliate product, go to Adwords with some broad keywords, and end up losing hundreds of dollars in the process.

If this has ever happened to you, then you are not alone.

Money can be made with adwords, but it has to be done right. And it all begins with proper keyword research. Having a great ad and landing page is important too, but in this article we’re going to focus in on how to select the best possible keywords as possible so that you can start off on the right foot.

If you’re thinking about purchasing a nifty keyword tool that can get you thousands of niche related keywords in seconds, then you should hold off on that thought. Before you start spending money on anything, start by creating a small keyword list yourself. Try creating a list of about 50 targeted keywords that’s related to the niche you want to enter into, and try to improve from there.

You always want to take your time before investing any money into a business, and this is especially true if you’re thinking about spending money on advertising. Right now, creating these keyword lists by hand is practice. Once you get the hang of it and you can create 50 targeted keywords in other niches, then you may want to consider purchasing a tool that can get you a vast list of targeted keywords to use.

Now, once you’ve gotten the hang of creating 50 keywords by hand and understand the importance of good quality keywords, it’s time to test these keywords out. At this step, you want to use Google’s free keyword tool to find out if any of the keywords that you wrote out by hand are actually getting any search each month. You can find that tool here: https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal

Remember, you want to get a feel of how this works, and the process of making your adwords campaign profitable. Simply enter all of the keywords that you have written out and see if any are listed as having being searched for in the search engines. If so, you have a keyword candidate that you can bid on.

Another thing that you will find is that, when you enter some of the keywords you wrote out earlier into the tool, you will find a slew of other relevant keywords with very little competition also. You will want to jot these down also and possibly use them if you find them relevant to what you’re selling.

To make the process easier for you, this Google’s tool allows you to export your keyword findings in excel format. You will want to do that for our exercise below.

MAKING THESE KEYWORDS PROFITABLE

Now that you know in a general sense how to find highly-relevant keywords that relate to what you are selling, you will want to put these good keywords into use in your Adwords account.

The first thing you should know is that you shouldn’t just go and put up all of these keywords at one into 1 ad group. This is a great way to not get as many clicks as possible. The first step before bidding on any of these keywords is to make your website relevant in the eyes of Google. Here’s how to do it.

You want to set your ad group and landing page up so that they both structured toward 1 keyword and variations of that keyword. So if you sell motorbikes, here’s how you want to set things up:

***AD GROUP NAME***

“Discount Motorbikes”

***KEYWORDS***

discount motorbikes
cheap motorbikes
affordable motorbikes

With this technique, you can easily lower your minimum bid because you are targeting low cost keywords that are highly relevant to what your website is about - Which will only increase the chances of your website being ranked as high as possible in Google’s PPC results.

And when you create an ad with the these niche keywords in your title, description, and URL - Google will find your ad to be very good and relevant, and will bold the keywords in your ad which will make it easier for your prospect to find you.

But it doesn’t stop here. Google can also see your landing page. So you want to include these keywords on your landing page also - especially in the headline of your website. You want your entire campaign as relevant as possible so that you can get a high “quality score” by Google, and get your site ranked high in the PPC results.

Makes sense? I hope so. This little tutorial on keyword research will prove to be very helpful if you start implementing them now. So I suggest you start using them today.

How to Run Profitable Pay Per Click Campaigns

Without targeted traffic to your website, you have no chance to make money online. No internet business can survive, much less thrive, without a high volume of traffic. There are many different ways to actually get interested visitors to your site but nothing works faster than pay per click advertising. You can get as much traffic as you want with PPC, and it starts almost from the moment your campaign begins. With pay per click advertising, you are only charged (by a search engine such as Google) when someone actually clicks on one of your ads, the cost of which is based on the keywords you choose. Ads that appear higher in the search engine's listings have an advantage, of course; the position of your ad is determined by several factors, such as the clickthrough rate, the perceived quality of your ad and, of course, how much you are willing to bid for your keywords. There is no doubt that you can get traffic with pay per click, but you do have to pay for it. You need to have a substantial budget since you will be paying a certain amount for every click you get. Basically, you're doing nothing but buying traffic from these search engines. PPC is something that is very profitable for some internet marketers, while it has wiped others out; the difference comes down to the abilities and experience in using this system. Here are some time tested strategies for running profitable PPC campaigns.

Profit Instruments It's extremely important that you take the time to test your landing pages. It's not enough to have a compelling ad copy written with primary placement. You also need to have an attention grabbing, response driven landing page for your visitors to land on. Without an effective landing page, your campaigns can't be profitable.

Remember, you are paying for every click, so without a good landing page your clicks will only be running up your PPC budget. This is why you have to test your landing pages. Have your ads for every campaign point to a minimum of two different landing pages. You simply must do this if you want to maximize the performance of your PPC campaigns. You can continue to upgrade your landing pages, as you take the best performing one and then test it against a new one.

After a few weeks, you should focus your efforts on the best performing ad groups. This is enough time to look over your results and stop running ads that are not performing. With every ad you should calculate whether the cost per conversion is higher than your profit margin. If this is the case, then you should either drop the ad or rework it and test it again. The ads that you want to keep running, and possibly even increase your budget for, are the profitable ones. Profit Instruments

Search for lesser-used keywords that don't cost as much as more popular ones. Going after the highest position on the first page is not always necessary. You can be a little lower on the page and still receive enough clicks to be successful. But remember, the maximum you can go is till the end of page 2, beyond that you won't get many clicks.

It takes a certain amount of research and experimentation to learn PPC advertising. Since many people experience losses when they first try PPC, it's best to start small and gradually increase your budget. You will become more proficient as you go along and soon your campaigns will be profitable.

Make sure you don't miss out on the latest marketing product by going to the affiliate silver bullet page.
